The Production Support part of the Land Mind Productions is a transformation and preservation of several areas of the manufacturing and packing portions of the old pear facility. To start the facility consists of 4 floors that are approx. 10,000 square feet per floor. The first floor has been transformed into the main support area offering the essential elements to support every production, such as: Make-up and hair styling rooms, wardrobe staging and dressing rooms a kitchen and café, a lounge area, conference room, production offices, open production area, edit suites, camera/film darkroom, camera lock-up / storage. This floor is a quick access to the stage from both the front and rear entrances.
The second Floor is a Prop rental house, being an old art dog, having a prop and set dress rental house came instinctually, the prop house consists of all sorts of great essential prop and set dress items such as: older furniture, appliances, luggage, TV’s, computers, desks, outdoor and camping and tons of “smalls”. We have had several features and MOW’s dress over 75% of their productions from our prop house. Exercising the efficiency of the facility the sets were built in our scene shop, dressed from our prop house and filmed on our stage.
You will also find on the second floor a full scale Gym and kids play area for our clients use, we took the back portion of the second floor, approximately 800 square feet and put our gym and workout facility in there. Great place for a change of pace consisting of a soft wrestling mat on the floor, making stretching, pilate’s or aerobic exercise comfortable, a wide range of free weights, dumbbells and your standard treadmill and bike as well as squat rack, bench press, seated rows, incline and decline benches. The LMP Gym is a great way to take a break, stay fit and blow off some steam in between the demanding production schedule.
The third floor… well recently the prop house spread into the back portion of the third floor leaving a little over half of the floor vacant as a shooting location, you can see the full photo of the 4th floor in the lower photo portfolio which still remains totally vacant, these floors have an incredibly cool look consisting of 2’ diameter concrete pillars that flank both sides of the floor. LMP has utilized the floor for several of it’s music videos and Bruce Campbell / Darkhorse Entertainment utilized the floor for an entire scene in “My Name is Bruce”.
The facility in it’s entirety has an amazing eclectic and industrial vibe. It that has played backdrop as it sits a variety of different scenes.
