LOCATION INFORMATION
Land Mind Productions is located in Medford, Oregon which is located in the Southwestern region of the state and Medford is right in the middle of the Rogue Valley. Yes! The Rogue Valley but contrary to what everyone seems to believe that does not live in Oregon, just because we are part of the great state of Oregon does not mean that it rains here all the time, we leave that for the people in the Northern half of the state. Oregon in it’s entirety is amazing, but Southern Oregon has carved it’s own niche within the state for it’s unparalleled Beauty with the Mighty Rogue River cutting it’s way through the center of our region, the Majestic mesa Table Rocks rising out of beautiful green pasture’s flanked by the Sexton mountain range, to the west on one of our many epic clear days you might be overwhelmed by the site of Mt, McGloughlin home of the 7 lakes basin, and speaking of lakes we have more than a handful all within a nice cozy radius, starting with Emigrant Lake in Ashland settled in a the base of the Siskyou pass, this lake is great for recreation, the Applegate lake tucked up in the majestic Applegate Valley is a power engine free environment with a beautiful thick tree-lined walking path all the way around. Lost Creek lake, home of Johnathon Stewart state park and the Tekelma fish Hatchery, below the damn is a popular drop in spot for recreational kayakers and day rafters as well as he avid river fishermen, Fish Lake, well the name says it all, great bass fishing, and it’s neighbor Lake of the woods and to top it all off the 8th wonder of the world Crater Lake, deep, blue and nothing short of amazing, this one time Volcano blew it’s top completely off only to have a part of it fall back in creating wizard island and over time filled in with all natural rain, spring fed and snow melt off, the lake is so deep in some areas they cannot even estimate it’s depth, then there is always it’s neighbor Diamond Lake, a winter snow mobile mecca and a summertime camp and bike riding destination. OK, OK so we have lakes and rivers and pastures, at one time we were one of the largest Pear producing areas in the world, apparently the climate and soil here in The Rogue Valley is perfect for grapes and with grapes you get wine, several of the old Pear farms have made the successful transition into amazing Wineries. Then there is Historic Jacksonville a piece of time from the turn of the century. The best attribute for Southern Oregon is that it is still User friendly for filming, the fees are uncharacteristically affordable.
